4Geeks Payments serves as the Merchant of Record (MoR) exclusively for digital products and standardized assets. By acting as the legal seller of your products, we assume the liability for compliance, global taxes, and fraud.

To operate under our MoR model, your products must feature Instant Delivery and be a Standardized Product. All purchases must be fulfilled automatically upon payment without requiring manual intervention, consulting, or physical shipping.

Supported Business Verticals¶

We currently support the following key business categories:

1. SaaS, Games, & Apps¶

Traditional software subscriptions and one-time licenses for software applications, desktop tools, and mobile apps.

2. Digital Education (EdTech)¶

Self-paced courses, video libraries, e-books, PDF guides, and paid newsletters (e.g., Substack-style). The content must be entirely pre-recorded or pre-written.

3. Digital Assets & Libraries¶

Sales of templates (Notion, Canva, etc.), code snippets, UI components, icons, or stock music. These must be available for instant download.

4. Memberships & Digital Communities¶

Access-based models for digital spaces like Discord/Slack, Premium Job Boards, and Benefit Clubs. Our focus is strictly on charging for “Access,” not “Labor.”

5. Entertainment & Gaming¶

In-game assets (skins, levels, virtual currency) and Niche Streaming (Video-on-Demand for yoga, cooking, etc.).

6. AI Tools & APIs (PaaS)¶

We support the sale of API credits, tokens, and browser extensions, offering seamless monetization for developers.

7. Virtual Events & Ticketing¶

Digital tickets for physical events and webinars (we handle the transaction and digital ticket delivery only).

Prohibited Businesses¶

Due to the rules of the Card Networks, banking partners, and our own MoR risk models, we cannot support the following types of businesses:

• Physical products (any good that requires shipping or physical delivery).
• Professional Services/Consulting (time-based labor, freelancing, coaching, custom development).
• Controlled or prescription drugs.
• Illegal/highly regulated substances, ingestibles, inhalants, injectables.
• Pharmaceuticals or pharmaceuticals without approval/permits from the appropriate regulatory authority.
• Perishable stores.
• Unauthorized brand name replicas.
• Sale of animals.
• Media and software without copyright or authorization.
• Stores related to violent activities.
• Jailbreak equipment and software, hacking, and cracking materials.
• Pornography, prostitution, and child abuse.
• Migration services.
• Very high-interest credits, exchange houses, credit repair or modification, debt reduction, court fines (without government permission).
• Weapons, sporting arms, ammunition, and pyrotechnics.
• Adult products and services, casinos, and gambling.
• Multilevel, cryptocurrencies, insurance, video games, crowdfunding, and investment funds.
• Financial services for savings, loans, and grants.
• Telemarketing.

Account Suspension¶

Please note that we may preemptively suspend (temporarily or permanently) your merchant account if we become aware that your business provided false or altered documents during the onboarding process, or if there is evidence that you did not deliver the offered digital products/services to your customers instantly.

If we have a suspicion that there are activities related to any type of fraud, money laundering, or that you are in breach of our Terms and Conditions, future payouts will be frozen for a specified period.

When an account is temporarily suspended, and you want to reactivate it, you will have 24 hours to show any evidence that clarifies the facts. Otherwise, your account will be permanently disabled.
