Payroll settings¶
Payroll settings live under Settings. This page covers the options that affect payroll and the admin features around it.
Payroll → General¶
| Setting | What it controls |

| Contract expiry notice (days) | Days before a contract end date to warn you |
| Overtime grace period (minutes) | Minutes after shift end before overtime accrues (0–60) |
| Auto-approve regular hours | When on, regular hours approve automatically and only overtime needs review |
| Travel expense unit prices | Currency and unit price per category (transportation, meals, lodging), plus a Required flag |
Tax & Compliance¶
Configure social-security and employer contributions per country. See Tax & Compliance.
Branding¶
Upload your company logo (PNG/JPG/WebP/SVG, max 2 MB). The logo is used in payroll PDFs, payslips and generated documents. SVG logos are used as-is; raster logos are cropped to a square.
Company and timezone¶
In Settings → Business, set your legal name, tax ID, address, contact details and timezone. The timezone drives attendance, timesheet and overtime calculations.
Team and roles¶
4Geeks Payroll uses two workspace roles:

| Admin | Full access — can manage employees, run payroll and change settings |
| Guest | Read-only view of the workspace |
Admins can invite members (email + role), change roles and remove members from Settings → Team. Some actions (such as saving a webhook) are disabled for guests.
Billing¶
Settings → Billing & Payments shows your payment methods and invoice history. A payment method is required before you can add employees. Payroll is billed per active employee according to your plan (see plans and pricing).
API & Webhooks¶
Settings → Integrations → API & Webhooks provides your Live API Key and Test API Key and lets you configure a webhook URL. API access is available on the Business plan and above.
