The Transportation module in 4Geeks Perks offers helpful tools for getting to and from work. It makes commuting easier, helps avoid parking issues, supports greener ways to travel, and improves employee comfort.
The module includes things like bus or train passes, and smart parking options through services like Parso.
Supported Transportation Options¶
4Geeks Perks helps your company support different ways for employees to get to work. These options can be set up and managed by your organization’s administrators and may include:
-
Commuter Passes:
- Public Transit Passes: These make it easier for employees to use buses, trains, subways, or trams. Passes can be paid for partly or fully by the company, and may be physical cards or digital ones linked to mobile wallets.
- Pre-Tax Benefits: In areas where it’s allowed, employees can use pre-tax money to pay for their transit passes, helping them save on taxes.
-
Ride-Sharing Reimbursements:
- Reimbursement Options: The company can cover part or all of the cost of ride-sharing services like Uber, Lyft, or taxis used to get to and from work.
- Custom Rules: Admins can set limits on how much is reimbursed, what types of rides qualify, and how often employees can request it.
- Easy Receipt Submission: Employees can upload receipts through the 4Geeks Perks website or mobile app.
-
Company-Provided Transportation:
- Shuttle Services: Companies can manage shuttle routes, schedules, and how many people can ride.
- Carpool Programs: Facilitate carpooling arrangements among employees, potentially offering incentives for participation.
- Vanpool Programs: Support vanpool programs, where groups of employees share a van for commuting.
-
Bicycle Support (Optional):
- Bike Storage: Provide secure on-site bicycle storage facilities.
- Bike Maintenance Programs: Offer discounts or reimbursements for bicycle maintenance and repairs.
- Bike Share Memberships: Subsidize or provide memberships to local bike-sharing programs.
-
Walking Incentives (Optional):
