How to create a WhatsApp AI Agent¶
Deploying a new AI Agent for WhatsApp is a straightforward process through the 4Geeks dashboard. This guide will walk you through the steps to get your agent up and running.
Prerequisites¶
Before you begin, ensure you have:
- A 4Geeks account.
- A Meta Business account (if you haven’t connected one yet).
Step 1: Open the Deployment Modal¶
Log in to your 4Geeks dashboard and navigate to the AI Agents section. Click on the Deploy Agent button to open the configuration modal.
Step 2: Configure Agent Basics¶
In the Deploy New Agent modal, fill in the following details:
- Agent Type: Choose the type of agent that best fits your needs (e.g., AI Receptionist Agent, AI Sales Agent).
- Agent Name: Give your agent a name that helps you identify its purpose (e.g., Front Desk Assistant).
Step 3: Select WhatsApp Channel¶
In the Channel dropdown menu, select WhatsApp.
Step 4: Connect your WhatsApp Account¶
If you haven’t connected a WhatsApp account yet, you will see a notice: “No WhatsApp accounts connected. Go to Channels to connect one.”
- Click the link to go to the Channels or Phone Numbers & WhatsApp section.
- Click the Conectar con Facebook (Connect with Facebook) button.
- Follow the on-screen instructions from Meta to link your WhatsApp Business number to your 4Geeks account.
- Once connected, return to the Deploy New Agent modal.
Step 5: Define Objectives and Training Data¶
- Main Objective: In the text area, describe what you want the agent to accomplish. Be as specific as possible (e.g., “Handle incoming customer inquiries about our services and schedule appointments.”).
- Training Data Source (URL): Provide a URL to your website, documentation, or any public resource the agent should use as its knowledge base.
Step 6: Deploy the Agent¶
Review all the information you’ve entered. Once the WhatsApp account is connected and all fields are filled, the Deploy Agent button will become active.
Click Deploy Agent to finalize the process. Your new AI Agent will now be active on WhatsApp!

You can monitor your agent’s performance and credit usage directly from the dashboard.
