Payment links

Explain with AI

Payment Links are a simple, no-code solution that allow businesses to charge customers through a unique URL. These links can be shared across channels like email, WhatsApp, or social media. This guide outlines how to use the new Payment Links interface in the 4Geeks Console, including link creation, filtering, and status tracking.

Note

Payment Links are currently limited to one-time payments. They are not associated with products and do not support recurring charges.

To access the Payment Links section:

  1. Log into the 4Geeks Console. Navigating to Log-In.
  2. Once logged in, click on Sales on the left navigation panel.
  3. From the dropdown, select Payment Links (third option).

Note

The Payment Links page will load, displaying a table of previously created links along with tools for filtering.

Navigating to Payment Links

The main page is composed of the following elements:

  • Pagination controls – A dropdown to choose how many links to display per page.
  • Status filter – A dropdown menu for filtering links by payment status.
  • New Link button – Opens the form to create a new payment link.
  • Data table – Lists all payment links with key information.

Security and limitations

4Geeks Payment Links include built-in 3D Secure (3DS) authentication to enhance payment safety. This is an additional verification step required by most card networks (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) to protect both the customer and merchant from fraudulent activity.

With 3DS enabled, customers are redirected to a verification screen where they must confirm their identity—typically using a one-time password, facial recognition, or an app notification. Once verified, the transaction is processed securely.

Note

There are no additional fees to generate payment links, and no limit to the number of links you can create.

Best practices and notes

  • Payment links are secured with 3D Secure authentication.
  • No technical skills are required to generate or share links.
  • Links can be distributed across multiple channels: email, SMS, WhatsApp, Instagram, Telegram, etc.
